Distempers of lime are used since the era of the Roman to embellish the outside and internal covers.
Consisted of lime natural hydraulics and of mineral pigments, they allow to realize decorations
the most varied in any authenticity.
Some limestone of origin, the lime, during its
carbonatation or grip, is again transformed into limestone.
That is why she(it) respects perfectly any type of support and can be removed at any time without
consequence for the other parts(parties) of a work.
The modern paintings for masonries trap the humidity inside walls and because of it
they degrade faster. During and after the grip, mortars of lime are permeable in the steam
but waterproof. They favor the evaporation of the water contents in the walls which "inhale"("breathe").

better habitability.
